SMACH Agropark Launch in Cameron Highlands, Malaysia
In September 2025, Big Dutchman Asia supported the launch of Phase 1 of the Sustainable Modern Agriculture Cameron Highlands (SMACH) Agropark in Tringkap. Officially inaugurated by His Majesty the Sultan of Pahang, the project integrates greenhouse systems, precision farming, and ESG-driven practices. Covering over 8,700 square metres, the Agropark serves as a benchmark for sustainable agriculture in Malaysia and reflects growing alignment between technology, environmental responsibility, and export readiness.
Successful Participation at VIV Asia 2025

Big Dutchman recorded a strong presence at VIV Asia 2025 in Bangkok, bringing together colleagues from across regions and business units to align strategies and support customers on one of the industry’s largest stages. The exhibition highlighted Big Dutchman’s high-tech livestock solutions, global network, and comprehensive after-sales and spare parts support. A key highlight was the visit by the CEO of Charoen Pokphand Foods and his team, who engaged in discussions on innovation and long-standing cooperation, reinforcing trusted partnerships across the region.
High-Tech Broiler Farm Launch with FELCRA, Malaysia
Big Dutchman supported FELCRA Berhad in launching a large-scale closed-house broiler farm in Tanjung Seratus, Pahang, strengthening Malaysia’s domestic poultry production. The 20.23-hectare facility comprises ten closed-system houses, each accommodating 30,000 birds per cycle, with annual output reaching 1.5 million broilers. Big Dutchman supplied integrated feeding, ventilation, and monitoring systems to ensure efficiency, bird welfare, and sustainability. The project reflects the growing role of modern technology in supporting national food security initiatives.
Big Dutchman AG Appoints New CEO

In March 2025, Big Dutchman AG appointed Steffen Bersch as its new Chief Executive Officer. A graduate engineer with extensive experience in food production, agricultural engineering, and logistics, he brings strong international and regional expertise to the role. He succeeds Bernd Meerpohl, who served as interim CEO and has resumed his position as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. The leadership transition reflects continuity and stability, ensuring the company remains well positioned to support customers and partners worldwide.
Big Dutchman and Stockyard Industries form Australia Partnership
Big Dutchman Group and Stockyard Industries announced a strategic partnership in Australia, operating under Big Dutchman Agriculture Australia Pty Ltd. The collaboration combines the strengths of both family-owned companies to enhance customer experience and expand turnkey solutions beyond pig production. Stockyard’s Bendigo warehouse and facilities are now managed by Big Dutchman Australia, complementing existing Queensland sites. The Jones Family remains actively involved to ensure continuity, with customers assured of uninterrupted service during the transition.
Community Welfare Support in Tay Ninh, Vietnam
In April 2025, Big Dutchman co-sponsored the handover of the “Great Solidarity House” project in Tan Chau, Tay Ninh, marking the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Reunification. The initiative provided newly built homes, household items, and essential supplies to families in need. More than 200 attendees, including local authorities, partners, and the Big Dutchman Vietnam team, joined the ceremony. Australia & New Zealand Aviary Seminar 2025
In June 2025, Big Dutchman Asia hosted customers from Australia and New Zealand at its headquarters in Klang, Malaysia. The programme included a guided tour of the office and warehouse, leadership presentations, and technical sessions on aviary rearing, laying systems, feed milling, and vaccination solutions. The seminar provided an open platform for technical exchange and reinforced Big Dutchman’s long-term commitment to supporting cage-free egg production across the ANZ region.
Pakistan Government Delegation Visits Asia Headquarters
Big Dutchman Asia welcomed a senior agricultural government delegation from Pakistan in July 2025. Discussions focused on modernising poultry production, expanding breeder and broiler capacity, and supporting rural development. The delegation received updates on ongoing projects and explored technologies including waste-to-value solutions such as CompoTower. The visit strengthened mutual trust and highlighted Big Dutchman’s role in supporting national food security objectives through long-term partnerships and knowledge exchange.
Strong Regional Momentum Reflected in Outbound Shipments
Throughout 2025, increasing outbound shipments from Big Dutchman Asia’s Klang headquarters reflected strong regional demand and active project execution. Containers shipped across Asia demonstrated customer confidence in automated poultry and pig farming solutions. This consistent logistics activity highlighted growing investment in food security, efficiency, and sustainability across Southeast Asia. The momentum reinforced Big Dutchman Asia’s ability to deliver end-to-end solutions, supported by regional stock availability and responsive customer service.
Sarawak Delegation Explores Pig Farming Solutions in Denmark
A Sarawak government delegation visited Big Dutchman in Denmark to study advanced pig farming technologies supporting export-scale production. The mission focused on housing systems, feeding automation, and biosecurity standards already in use by Danish producers. The visit provided first-hand insights into how technology can support Sarawak’s ambition to develop a billion-ringgit pig export industry by 2030. The exchange strengthened technical understanding and long-term cooperation between stakeholders.
CSR Initiative at Huakhaokaeo School, Thailand
In September 2025, the Big Dutchman Thailand team carried out a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative at Huakhaokaeo School in Nakhon Nayok. Sixty-five colleagues volunteered their time to improve the learning environment at the rural primary school, which serves 77 students. The team installed new ceiling fans and lighting, repaired electrical systems, and repainted classrooms, the canteen, and playground areas. Beyond infrastructure work, colleagues engaged students through activities and shared meals, reinforcing Big Dutchman’s commitment to community care and social responsibility.
Supporting Malaysia’s Cage-Free Egg Transition
Big Dutchman Asia participated in the Malaysia Cage-Free Corporate Implementation Progress Forum in September 2025, supporting industry transparency and accountability. During the event, Big Dutchman received the award for Excellence in Cage-Free System Development, recognising its contribution to cage-free installations across the country. The forum highlighted collaboration between producers, NGOs, and solution providers to advance animal welfare while maintaining production efficiency and long-term industry viability.
First Rearing House Handover in Vietnam
In October 2025, Big Dutchman completed the handover of the first rearing house at a new customer farm in Vietnam. The facility is equipped with the UVS680 rearing system, supporting stable climate control and uniform chick development. This milestone enabled timely chick placement and kept the overall project on schedule. Big Dutchman continues close cooperation during commissioning and installation across remaining houses to ensure smooth start-up and long-term performance.
Vietnam Poultry Association Delegation Visit
Big Dutchman Vietnam welcomed the Vietnam Poultry Association delegation to its Ho Chi Minh City office in October 2025. Discussions focused on industry challenges, innovation, and opportunities to strengthen domestic and international markets. The visit concluded with Big Dutchman’s official recognition as a VPA member, symbolising mutual trust and shared commitment to sustainable poultry development. The engagement reinforced collaboration between technology providers and industry stakeholders in Vietnam.
First Regional ESG Meeting Hosted in Asia
In November 2025, Big Dutchman Asia hosted its first regional ESG meeting at its Klang headquarters, bringing together colleagues from eight countries. The sessions covered emissions reporting, governance practices, sustainable purchasing, and future ESG requirements. Led by the global ESG team, the meeting marked an important step in aligning regional operations with rising sustainability expectations and supporting customers with responsible, future-ready farming solutions.
